
CLIENT: Do The Green Thing

CONTEXT: Do the Green Thing is an environmental charity using creativity to combat climate change.
IDEA: Salvage unworn garments from illegal landfills and resell them under a fictional fashion brand.
BRIEF: Create a campaign to spotlight the harmful effects of the fast and ultra-fast fashion industry.
RESEARCH: Donated and new clothing contribute to the millions of metric tons of clothing that end up in illegal disposal sites worldwide specifically the biggest dumping ground is found in Atacama Desert, Chile.
CONCEPT: Among the tons of discarded clothes, some still have their tags. We mimicked luxury brand tactics to sell these items as if sourced from landfills. We launched the Green Swag Clothing Co. a fake brand reselling these rescued garments. After a few weeks, we revealed the true origin of the clothes to raise awareness and encourage ethical, sustainable practices.
