THE BRIEF
Develop a campaign for SELCO Foundation's photography initiative to showcase the spirit of their field projects — solar energy solutions deployed in rural communities across South India.
THE CONCEPT
Showcase SELCO Foundation's projects through visually compelling photographs that tell their story and emphasise their impact — images that feel human, warm, and alive rather than documentary-distant or institutional.
THE APPROACH
Rural India was where I first understood what it means to truly see another person. That assignment in Karnataka changed how I look through a lens. These images were not made by an outsider documenting poverty — they were made by someone who sat with these communities, earned their trust, and tried to show the dignity in their lives.
MISSION
Solar for All
Sustainable energy in underserved communities
METHOD
TONE
Field Documentary
Human, Warm, Dignified
On-location, trust-based photography
Not institutional. Not distant.
WHAT THIS WORK IS
Real field photography for a real social impact organisation. SELCO Foundation works to provide sustainable energy to communities without access to reliable power. This is not spec work — it is commercial documentary photography with genuine social purpose, shot on location in rural India.
